Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has banned all forms of street protests in the state, condemning the street protests by the Indigenous People of Biafra which have crippled commercial activities in the state. The governor declared : Quote "let no one be in doubt of the resolve of the Rivers State Government and the security agencies to maintain law and order at all cost within the State and preserve the unity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria." In a state-wide broadcast on Tuesday night, Governor Wike decried the movement of protesters from neighbouring States into Rivers State, noting that they have inflicted injuries on other citizens going about their lawful businesses.

3 people have been shut dead at the pro-Biafra protest currently happening on major roads of Port Harcourt. The source says the protesters started from Eleme Junction and are  currently marching down Aba road,  heading to the Government House. Soldiers on scene started throwing tear gas and firing real bullets to scare the protesters but ended up killing 3 people. The protest which is still on going, started as a result of the arrest and detention of Nnamdi KANU,the Director of Radio Biafra.

Pro-Biafra protesters have launched a massive demonstration in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State and are reportedly demanding to see state Governor, Nyesom Wike . The protest is said to have started at the Eleme Junction area of the state before the crowd began to make its way towards the Government House. Soldiers have been deployed to the area in trucks and tanks and reports say tear-gas is being deployed in a bid to disperse the crowd.
