The Oyo State police operatives from Iyaganku police division have apprehended a 38-year-old woman, Remi Agunbiade for allegedly trying to kill her husband last month, Tribune reports.The suspect who lived with her husband in Ita Barika, Foko area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, revealed to the police that the act was out of love as she was only trying to make her husband love her more.

First Bank of Nigeria Limited has retained its number one banking brand ranking in Nigeria for the fifth consecutive year in the 2016 The Banker and Brand Finance Top 500 Banking Brands in the world. According to the 2016 Top 500 banking brands ranking published in the February edition of The Banker magazine, Financial Times Group in conjunction with Brand Finance, London, United Kingdom, First Bank moved up the scale in 16 places. The bank has moved from 336 position in 2015 to 320 this year.

The Presidency on Monday explained the reason behind President Muhammadu Buhari’s foreign trips. It said the trips were aimed at recovering funds looted from Nigeria. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said this while addressing State House correspondents.
