Seven died, four rescued, others missing in in Ikorodu — Lagos boat mishap

No fewer than seven persons lost their lives when a boat in which they were travelling capsized at Ijede, a suburb of Ikorodu in Lagos.The ill-fated boat was headed for the Badore Jetty in Ajah, when the incident occurred at about 10:10 a.m. on Saturday. A Correspondent of NAN who visited the scene gathered that the incident was caused by a heap of sand allegedly left by dregders who operated in the area.
