In his first major reaction to the decision of the Appeal Tribunal declaring him winner of the April 11, 2015 governorship election in Abia State, Alex Otti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance on Friday stated that Abians “have finally recovered the mandate of the people, which was brazenly and shamelessly stolen”.

Indications have emerged that about 14 ministers, who served the administration of Goodluck Jonathan will not receive any severance package from the current federal government. The ex-ministers that may forfeit their severance package are said to have spent less than two years in office and did not qualify for the package. According to The Nation, President Muhammadu Buhari administration has stuck to the implementation of the terms of appointment.

  President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday admitted that he was not in a rush in running the government. He said this in Abuja when he met with Women In Politics Forum (WIPF). “People say we are slow. We are trying to change structures put in place by our predecessors in office for 16 years. “If we hurry it, we will make mistakes. That will be a disaster,” he said. The President said the proposed budget proposal will boost employment and manufacturing. [irp] He reassured that by the end of the second quarter of the year, the positive impacts of the budget would be visible nationwide.
