In Abia Government to feed 30,000 pupils daily

30,000 pupils from 10 local council areas in Abia state, will now be fed three times a week. This is under the Universal Basic Education feeding scheme of the Okezie Ikpeazu led government. This was revealed to newsmen by Bonnie Iwuoha, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy. Iwuoha went further to enumerate the giant strides of  the government adding that that the children have good water to drink, the Governor has approved 52 water schemes. He did not leave out the on-going reconstruction of 42 roads in the state. Abia is a state with a major business hub in the South Eastern part of Nigeria. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu is the ninth Governor of Abia State, Nigeria. He was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senate issues warning to Buhari for Fuel Scacity

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), Senator Uche Ekwunife has issued a 2 week ultimatum, mandating the minister of petroleum, to put an end to the looming fuel crisis. Ekwunife said this while meeting with officials of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources at the National Assembly in Abuja.

APC youths not happy with President Buhari

The All Peoples Congress (APC) Youth Leader, Ibrahim Jalo speaking at the party’s National Youth Conference, said President Buhari’s government has relegated the youth. According to Punch Newspapers, he said “it is regrettable that with the population of about 70 million people, the youth who constitute a powerful voting bloc are missing in the political space and have been relegated to playing the role of “active spectators.” While calling on the government to invest in the youth, Jalo said Nigerian youths no longer want to be seen as leaders of tomorrow.
