Defence Headquarters at the weekend said it has discovered that Boko Haram, in their desperation to cause colossal havoc, have devised a new method where they dress like mad persons to gain unsuspecting access to public areas to detonate bombs. Brigadier General, Rabe Abubakar, Acting Director Defence Information in a statement said 2 male suicide bombers, dressed like mad women and carried out suicide bomb attack in Gombi, Adamawa State.

Real and Atletico Madrid: Fifa suspends transfer bans

World governing body Fifa has provisionally suspended the transfer bans imposed on Spanish sides Real and Atletico Madrid. The two clubs were punished earlier this month for breaching rules over the transfer of minors. The bans were due to take effect from when the Spanish transfer window shuts on Monday. The clubs are appealing against the bans, which would rule out registration of new players until July 2017. Atletico were also fined 900,000 Swiss francs (£816,800) and Real 360,000 (£246,700). "Fifa's appeals commission has decided to provisionally suspended the sanction imposed on the club," Real Madrid said in a statement.

Private individuals will no longer be allowed to advertise guns on Facebook and Instagram, the photo-sharing service owned by Facebook. Facebook had already banned the sale of guns without ID checks, but the new rules aim to stop all gun trade between individuals on the sites.

Three abducted oil workers in Benin Edo Police command rescue

Crack team of detectives attached to the Edo State Police Command have rescued three oil workers attached to the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC). The State Police Commissioner, Mr Chris Ezike who disclosed this yesterday to journalists, said the workers had been kidnapped along Old-Benin Lagos Road, around Oluku area of the state on their way to Lagos, last Tuesday.
