O NITSHA— Leader of Biafra Independence Movement, BIM, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has appointed a Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Aniebonam as Chairman of Biafra Independent National Electoral Commission, B-INEC. Announcing the appointment at Ojukwu Memorial Library, Owerri, Imo State, Uwazuruike explained that the measure was in line with BIM’s principle of non-violence towards establishing a sovereign control over the territorial boarders of the new Biafra.  Former staffers of the former President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign organization have petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleging that the campaign’s media leader, Femi Fani-Kayode, received N1.7 billion from embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki. Nigerian prosecutors have accused Mr. Dasuki, a retired army colonel, of masterminding a scheme in which more than $2 billion budgeted for purchase of weaponry for the military was instead distributed to a variety of politicians and associates of Mr. Jonathan.

A father in Kenya has been arrested for raping his 12- years old daughter on New Year's day.

A Kenyan man who raped his 12-year-old daughter on January 1, 2016, has been arrested just as the girl is currently recuperating at Thika Level Five Hospital, reports Tuko.co.ke. According to the girl’s mother, it was not the first time that her husband has raped one of his daughters as h has been taking delight in sleeping with his own daughters. The woman told police that another of her daughters now stay with a relative after being raped by the father in 2014.
