Leicester City go top, Southampton stun Manchester United
Leicester City returned to the top of the Premier League – at least
for 24 hours – after a comprehensive 3-0 win over Stoke City at the
King Power Stadium on Saturday.
Daniel Drinkwater,
Jamie Vardy and Jose Leonardo Ulloa scored for Claudio Ranieri’s men,
overtaking Arsenal who welcome Chelsea on Sunday afternoon to the
Emirates.
Manchester City failed to add pressure on
the Gunners, after they were held to a 2-2 draw at West Ham, with
Sergio Aguero equalizing twice for the Etihad club.
Charlie
Austin scored a late winner on his debut, as Southampton defeated
Manchester United at Old Trafford. Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to
beat Crystal Palace 3-1, while there were no goals between West Brom
and Aston Villa.
Liverpool emerged winners in a nine-goal thriller at Carrow Road, beating Norwich City 5-4.
