Despite Appeal Court Verdict, I Remain A’Ibom Governor – Emmanuel
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has insisted that he still
remains the authentic democratically elected governor of the state
despite the smear campaigns by the opposition party in the state after
the judgment of the Appeal Court

people of the Eket Senatorial District in his honour stressed that
there was no vacancy in the State Government House (Hill-top-mansion) as
he has the mandate and represents the symbol of unity, justice and
fairness in the governance of the state.
The governor said he has full confident to excel in the Supreme Court
over the annulled governorship election in the state by the Appeal Court
saying the divine mandate freely given him by the people of the state
will stand. “The divine mandate represents equity and justice”.
He said the people of the state were tired of election as they cannot
do election for two years; but anxiously yearning for development and
industrialization of the state. adding that as the unity of Nigeria is
sustained by equity, justice and fairness same should be done on Akwa
ibom.
“Let the whole country help us. I'm tired of election. We cannot do
election for two years in the state. We don't want election again. Let
the whole world bear me witness. Let Nigerians bear me witness.
“Nigerian should help tell the distractors that we want to develop our
state, create wealth for the people. We don’t want distraction. All the
major oil producing companies are in Eket Senatorial District of the
