Toamy Hills Gets New Head Girl

In a setting that appeared to be a mild drama due to the young breeds involved, gathered the pupil of Toamy Hills School in Egbeda to vote for choice candidates that will lead the school to the next level.

Indeed, Toamy Hills School is taking a giant stride by grooming these young ones in the area of skills to become democratic leaders in future.  So in an election conducted in a transparent, free and fair manner by the school authority to fill various leadership positions, Osareme Osunde won her opponent, Jessica Ugochukwu with a narrow margin of 100 to 86 to emerge the head girl of the school.

Speaking at the School premises where the election held, the Head of the school, Mrs. Mojisola Falode maintained that Osunde who emerged as the head girl was massively voted in by the pupil.

She explained that the school deemed it fit to have sworn-in Osunde based on her academic performance over the years, behaviourial skills within the school premises, and commitment to school works, moral values and neatness and that even during Manifesto reading, she performed marvelously.

Falode further advised the head girl to be more focused and work assiduously to be able to achieve all she had promised in her manifesto in order not to disappoint her pupil and to serve as a role model to them.

In her brief remarks, nine years old Osareme said that she canvassed for vote from her pupils in order to make a change. She also thanked God and the School authority and the pupil for creating her the wonderfully opportunity to contest and to be elected as the head girl of 2015/2016 academic session.

“Some people may say being a head girl is such a hard task but for me, it is not if you believe in yourself.  Special thank you to the school management for allowing us have a feel of what a world of political is like at this very tender age.  The world process is indeed an experience to remember in a large time. It is a good experience from the postures, to the campaigns and to the manifesto. But it worth a journey ride that I can never forget in a hurry”

Osunde thanked her parents for believing in her and giving her all the moral backing and financial support in making her education smooth.
