Another Bomb Blast Hits Yola

About three weeks after a suicide bomber hit a mosque resulting in the killing of several worshippers, another suicide bomber on Tuesday detonated a bomb at the Tippa garage in the ancient city of Jimeta town of Yola, Adamawa State capital.

An eyewitness said that at about 7.30 pm a suicide bomber sneaked into the popular Tippa garage at the Jimeta by-pass and detonated a bomb killing several people with many injured.

He said he narrowly escaped the bomb blast, adding that he had only  visited his friend at the garage when the blast occurred.

However, at the time THISDAY visited the scene of the blast, dead bodies were being evaluated by staff of NEMA and security operative to the hospital
