80% of Nigerians must know their rights by December – NHRC
The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, has set for itself the
target of ensuring that 80 per cent of Nigerians are aware of their
fundamental human rights by the end of December, 2015.
The Executive Secretary of the commission, Prof. Bem Angwe, made the declaration on Monday in Abuja when he received the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mr Mike Omeri, at the NHRC headquarters.
In his words, “By the end of this year, we want to achieve a target of having at least 80 per cent of Nigerians aware of their rights.
